Texas Refuses To Stand Down, Installs More Razor Wires in Southern Border

Amid the ongoing standoff between Biden’s administration and the Texas government, the Texas National Guard continued laying out more razor wire along the Southern Border.

In their 5-4 decision last week, favoring the federal government, the Supreme Court ruled that the Border Patrol agents can cut the concertina wires installed by the Texas National Guard on Shelby Park.

Gov. Greg Abbott initially ordered the installation of about 30 miles of barbed wires at the Texas-Mexico border to prevent the surge of illegal migrants entering the US soil by crossing the Rio de Grande River.

This move ultimately prohibited Border Patrol agents from entering Shelby Park in Eagle Pass.

“Texas’ razor wire is an effective deterrent against illegal border crossings encouraged by Biden’s open border policies,” Abbott firmly said on Wednesday.

The Texas governor pledged to “continue to deploy this razor wire to repel illegal immigration.”

Despite liberals accusing Texas’ wires on the southern border as “illegal,” the fact is that the state is not defying the recent Supreme Court order.

According to Verify This, while the court ruled that the Biden administration could resume cutting the razor wire, it did not ban Texas from laying more wires.

Meanwhile, Biden seems to deflect the border crisis on the Republicans as he claims that he needs the conservatives in Congress to give him the “authority to shut down the border.”

Changing his tune, the president now admits that the border is “not” secure and quipped that “significant policy changes at the border” are needed.

Biden then turned the blame on Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans. To which he questioned the Republican leaders if “they [are] ready to act as well?”

He also accused the conservatives of weaponizing the issue “to score political points.”

“I’m ready to solve the problem. I really am,” says Biden, as if trying to convince the media.

But, as the current president of the United States, Biden already has the authority, and in fact, he has the power to act as well.

But it took 8 million migrants to enter America illegally before Biden thought of “securing the border.”

And since early 2023, the first time he set foot in El Paso, Texas, since his presidency, Biden never bothered to come back to check on the border woes.

New York City Mayor Adams even once said that Biden refused to meet him to discuss their concerns about illegal migrants.

For Trump, he pledged to send reinforcements to Texas if he was elected.

“When I’m president, instead of trying to send Texas a restraining order, I will send them reinforcements,” says the Republican leading nominee during a campaign rally in Las Vegas.

“Instead of fighting border states, I will use every resource, tool, and authority of the U.S. president to defend the United States of America from this horrible invasion that is taking place right now,” he added.
